My wonderful husband took me here where we spent Mother's Day away from all the hassle and grind. It was my first time but not my last! Calm. Peaceful. We met some nice travelers along the way. The atmosphere is so serene. We took our chairs down by the water and spent hours having our picnic, talkin, relaxing and enjoying being together! Seeing the old payphone was a treat! I bet younger folk never used one! Lookin forward to our next trip back!!

I'm torn on this review, we had a good time camping, and most of the problems with Pickett are due to age and no budget, but the camping area of the park could really use some updates (didn't stay in the cabins, so I'm not reviewing them). The camping spaces are adequate, barely. Each had its own picknic bench (in need of repair) and fire pit, but only a few have designated tent pads (ours didn't). The camping area could really use more trash stations (there is only one at the main office). The path to the lake/swimming area is not well marked and is somewhat treacherous.

Still we had a good time, and I hear that they are going to be renovating soon.

Lots of trails, most are easy. Visitor center has lots of info, people that work there are nice and very helpful. Natural Arch is accessible by a trail or from a very small parking space along the road. Large parking area along the lake, has a swimming area and grills. Much more there that I haven't seen yet.

Beautiful park, very few people. Natural bridge was immensely cool to see. Trail signage not the best because it doesn't include mileage from point to points, and signage not the best. But definitely check out the natural bridge. Hiking not too steep. 9/10 activity

My daughter and I spent three nights in a cabin here. We had a wonderful experience. Hikes are great and not extremely difficult. Beautiful terrain. Saw a bear in the neighboring Big South Fork park. We participated in a ranger program at Pickett that was really interesting- glow worms that live in the park.
